How to Convert JPG to PDF on Your Phone or Computer (Free)

Turning photos into a PDF is something most of us need regularly: sending documents to an employer, submitting assignments, saving receipts, or uploading ID proofs. This guide explains how to convert JPG (and PNG, WEBP or iPhone HEIC) images to a single, neat PDF on your phone or computer, completely free.

Convert JPG to PDF in four steps

  1. Open ImagesLite Image to PDF.
  2. Add your images by dropping them on the box or tapping to select them. You can pick many photos at once.
  3. Arrange the pages by dragging the cards. Rotate any sideways photo with the ⟲ ⟳ buttons.
  4. Choose your settings and click Create PDF, then download the file.

Which settings should I choose?

  • Page size: choose A4 for documents in India, the UK and most countries, US Letter for the USA, or Fit to image to keep each photo’s own shape with no white borders.
  • Orientation: Auto turns landscape photos into landscape pages automatically.
  • Margin: a small or medium margin looks tidy when printed. Use No margin for full-bleed photos.
  • Quality: Balanced suits most uses. Pick Smaller file for email or upload portals with size limits.
  • Page numbers and watermark: optional extras for reports or shared documents, for example “Copy” or “Confidential”.

Converting on an iPhone or Android phone

Open the tool in Safari or Chrome and tap the upload box. On iPhone, choose Photo Library to pick pictures directly. HEIC photos are converted automatically. On Android, choose Gallery or Files. When the PDF is ready, tap Download PDF and share it straight to WhatsApp, Gmail or Google Drive.

Tips for professional-looking PDFs from photos

  • Shoot from directly above in good light, avoiding shadows from your phone.
  • Place documents on a dark, plain surface so the edges stand out.
  • Crop before converting if photos include a lot of background. Our Photo Editor can crop and straighten images.
  • Keep the order logical: front side then back side for ID cards, page 1 before page 2.

Adding existing PDFs to your images

The Image to PDF tool also accepts PDF files, so you can combine photos with documents you already have. To join PDFs only, use Merge PDF, as explained in our merging guide.

File too large to upload?

Photos from modern phones are big. If the finished PDF exceeds a portal’s limit, compress it with Compress PDF using a target size. For very strict limits, read how to compress a PDF to under 200 KB.

Frequently asked questions

Can I convert PNG or screenshots to PDF too?

Yes. JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF and HEIC images are all supported.

Is there a limit on the number of images?

No. Each image becomes one page, and you can add as many as your device can handle.

Do you keep a copy of my photos?

No. The PDF is built in your browser, so nothing is uploaded or stored.
